About Rajiv Jain:
Born in France, Rajiv Jain grew up mainly in the U.S. He studied Art and Theater at the Maryland Art Institute. His greatest art influences were the masters (Van Gogh, Michelangelo) and the comic book artists Moebius and Bilal. After travelling around the world for a few years, he came to Los Angeles, where he currently divides his time between performing arts and painting. Whereas his work with Lucent Dossier allows him to interact with people and create 3-dimensionally, he uses the 2-d language of painting for personal exploration and capturing of specific moments, in charcoal or oil paints. Eyes are a recurring motif in his drawings because of the energy that they can project and receive. Rajiv Jain's works have been featured in past shows at the Glass Garage Gallery on Robertson.
